Vote on Election Day

On Election Day, you must vote at the polling place assigned to your residential address. Polling locations are determined by precinct boundaries and may change from one election to the next, so it is important to verify your polling place before Election Day.

POLLING PLACE HOURS
Polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.
If you are in line at your polling place by 8 p.m., you have the right to vote, even if it takes additional time to reach the voting booth.

Voting Assistance

If you need assistance voting, you have several options. You may:

  • Bring someone with you to assist you
  • Ask an election judge for assistance
  • Use a ballot-marking machine to help mark your ballot
  • Vote from your vehicle using curbside voting

Learn more about voting assistance.

CURBSIDE VOTING
If you cannot enter the polling place due to a physical disability or health limitation, you may request that a ballot be brought to your vehicle. This is known as curbside voting.

To request curbside voting, call 763.531.5100 when you arrive to vote.
For absentee voting, please along the curb in front of New Hope City Hall.
Please note that curbside voting may take longer than the standard voting process.

Another option for voters who cannot enter a polling place is voting by mail. Ballots can be returned by mail or delivered by another person on your behalf, if permitted by law.

AGENT DELIVERY
Voters with qualifying circumstances may designate an agent to pick up and return a ballot on their behalf. This option, known as agent delivery, is available only during the seven days before an election.
