Boards & Commissions

Insight and recommendations from several advisory boards and commissions help to bring a community-wide perspective to New Hope policy discussions.

New Hope Seeking Planning Commission Applicants

The City of New Hope is currently accepting applications for openings on the Planning Commission.

The New Hope Planning Commission is composed of nine members who serve staggered three-year terms. The commission advises the City Council on a variety of important matters, including zoning, platting, residential, commercial and industrial development or redevelopment, and public improvements.

The Planning Commission also oversees two subcommittees:

  • Codes and Standards Subcommittee – Reviews proposed text amendments to the City Code.

  • Design and Review Subcommittee – Meets with applicants to evaluate site and building expansion proposals prior to their presentation before the full commission.

Serving on the Planning Commission is a valuable opportunity to help shape the future of New Hope. Community members with an interest in development, planning, or civic engagement are encouraged to apply.
