The Crystal, New Hope and Robbinsdale Junior Police Academy provides youth entering sixth through eighth grade an insider's look into law enforcement.
Middle-school-aged children will build an understanding of policing techniques, procedures, leadership, ethics, teamwork and effective communication.
The two-day event is Thursday and Friday, June 13 and 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crystal Community Center and Crystal City Hall.
The fee is $20 (scholarships available). The cost includes lunch and a camp T-shirt.
