Highway 169 Noise Barrier Construction

Highway 169 Noise Barrier Construction
Posted on 08/16/2023
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is constructing a noise barrier along the east side of Highway 169 between Bass Lake Road and 62nd Avenue. The project aims to limit the amount of highway traffic noise that reaches the residential area. The approximately 2,800-foot-long, 20-foot-tall wall is being constructed along the remaining residential area along Highway 169 in the city without a noise barrier.

In addition to constructing the wall, crews will complete tree removal, guard rail installation and utility work along the project area.

Traffic Impacts
The ramp from westbound Bass Lake Road to northbound Highway 169 is closed. It's expected ramp closures will continue through November.

Motorists traveling from westbound Bass Lake Road to northbound Highway 169 can use the cloverleaf to access northbound 169.
