The City of New Hope is beginning work on its 2050 Comprehensive Plan Update, an important process that will help shape the community’s future. The Comprehensive Plan establishes the City’s vision and provides guidance for decision-making to support residents, respond to changing needs and plan for the years ahead.

New Hope’s current 2040 Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 2018. Comprehensive Plan updates are required every 10 years by the Metropolitan Council to coordinate regional planning efforts and establish local goals and priorities related to land use, housing, transportation, water resources, parks, climate and natural systems.
