The city of New Hope recognizes the importance of public works personnel in maintaining the city’s infrastructure to provide a safe and healthy environment for the community. To honor the dedication and valuable contributions made by public works personnel, New Hope is following the nation-wide campaign and proclaiming May 17-23, 2020 as National Public Works Week.

Public Works Week is observed annually in the United Sates to recognize the men and women who provide and maintain the infrastructure and services collectively known as public works. Public works personnel design, build, operate, maintain and protect the transportation systems, water supply infrastructure, sewer systems, public buildings, parks and other structures and facilities. Public works infrastructure, facilities and services play a pivotal role in the health, safety and quality of life in communities throughout the country.

The city of New Hope extends a sincere message of appreciation to public works personnel for their dedication and commitment to the community.
