Snowman/Snow Sculpture Contest

Have some fun in the snow! The New Hope Citizen Advisory Commission is sponsoring the sixth annual Snowman/Snow Sculpture Contest this winter. Community members are invited to create a snowman or snow sculpture and submit a photo of their masterpiece anytime between now and March 31, 2023. More than one entry is okay. You can work as an individual, family, neighborhood or even a work group. The contest is open to all ages. Email a photo of your completed creation to [email protected] along with your name, address and a title for your creation. Prizes will be awarded after the contest.

Hoyt Formally Appointed Acting City Manager

New Hope City Council has officially appointed current New Hope Police Chief Tim Hoyt as acting city manager for a six-month trial period beginning June 2. The action ratifies the Council's unanimous agreement at the March 7 work session and directs current City Manager Kirk McDonald to coordinate with Hoyt on job training leading up to McDonald's June 1 retirement.
