Each year the City of New Hope lines deteriorating areas of the sanitary sewer system. This process involves installing a cure in place fiberglass liner inside of the existing sanitary sewer pipe. This greatly extends the lifetime of the pipe without needing costly excavation and disruptions to city roadways and boulevards.

At the August 8, 2022 city council meeting, a contract was awarded to Insituform Technologies, USA, LLC for the 2022-23 sanitary sewer lining project.  The 2022 and 2023 base bid and alternates #1 and #5 were awarded as shown on the project map attached at the link below. The 2022 base bid portion of this project will begin this winter. The contractor will notify residents 24 - 48 hours in advance prior to lining the sewer mains. Water usage needs to be limited during sewer lining to avoid potential backups into residences. Instructions will be provided by the contractor, and example can be found at the link below.
