Personnel Board
Overview and Function
- The New Hope Personnel Board consists of three members who serve three-year terms. Board members are professionals currently employed in the personnel/human resources field.
- The Personnel Board is responsible for recruiting and hiring all employees covered by civil service rules in the city’s personnel ordinance. The board interviews job applicants and certifies qualified applicants to the city manager who makes the final selection and appointment to a position.
- The board also establishes general personnel rules and advises the city manager on personnel policies and issues.
