It is the goal of the Public Works Department to have the entire street system cleaned after a typical snowfall in approximately 10-12 hours. Normally, city equipment operators begin their general plowing operation by 2 a.m. for a snowfall ending at 6 a.m.
Community collectors are plowed and sanded first followed by neighborhood collectors, residential streets, and cul-de-sacs. Depending on snowfall conditions and duration of the storm, clean-up operations can vary widely.
