Police Reserves
Currently accepting applications
The Police Reserves supports the New Hope Police Department by assisting police officers on Friday and Saturday nights. They have their own squad car and back-up the officers on calls, direct traffic, impound vehicles, and transport people who are stranded.
Reserve officers also assist at major events such as the Duk Duk Daze Festival. If you are interested in applying as a Police Reserve officer, call Todd Schmeltzer, reserve captain, at 763-531-5170 or email Scott Slawson.
The Police Reserves are currently accepting applications for new members. Training for new reserve officers is planned for this fall. Download and fill out an application (below) and mail it to the Police Department.
