Neighborhood Watch

Officer Nichole Korth
Phone: 763-531-5140

Neighborhood Watch is one of the most effective ways to prevent crime and reduce fear. It forges bonds, helps reduce burglaries and robberies, and forms a partnership between police and the communities we serve.

New Hope has approximately 60 active Neighborhood Watch Groups. Groups should meet formally each year to discuss crime prevention or a related topic of interest to the neighbors. A second informal meeting, block party, or social event is also required to maintain a group’s active status. If you would like to start a Neighborhood Watch Group in your area or schedule your annual meeting, call Officer Korth at 763-531-5140. Many neighborhood groups have a lot of fun by planning block picnics and get-togethers while working together to solve or prevent problems. As a member of a Neighborhood Watch Group you will receive a copy of the Tips newsletter (Tips and Information for Public Safety) four times per year.
