Reach for Resources provides inclusion facilitators for children and adults with disabilities who would like to participate in New Hope Recreation programs. Registrations for these programs are done through the Recreation Department. After registering, contact Reach for Resources at 952-988-4177 to discuss the needs/accommodations for yourself or your child. We require a minimum of two weeks’ notice for a successful inclusion.

Windows of Opportunity is a program of the Robbinsdale School District #281 and provides recreation, education, and support for people with disabilities ages 16 and up.

Courage Center offers programs for all ages. Programs include skiing, horseback riding, competitive team sports such as basketball or power soccer, and creative activities such as arts, crafts and photography.

Project SOAR provides specially designed Community Education programs, developed just for adults with disabilities. Assistance is available for sign language interpreters and classroom assistants, as well as referrals to agencies and resources.

REACH is an agency which serves individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in the West and Northwest metro area. Services include Adaptive Recreation for youth-adult, information, referral, advocacy and counseling. Please note that New Hope residents are considered nonresidents for Reach programs.
ew Hope’s adaptive recreation program is coordinated through REACH for Resources in cooperation with the cities of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Golden Valley, Maple Grove, New Hope, Plymouth, Robbinsdale. REACH for Resources is an agency which serves individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in the West and Northwest metro area. Services include information, referral, advocacy and counseling.
After a person with special needs signs up for a New Hope class, city staff contacts REACH for Resources. An inclusion facilitator from REACH then contacts the registrant directly to determine how best to accommodate their needs.
