Outdoor Theatre

New Hope built an outdoor theatre in Civic Center Park, just west of New Hope City Hall, in 1986. The theatre, which is handicap accessible, has bleacher seating for about 450. Parking is available in the City Hall parking lot.

2012 Production - Grease

The Off Broadway Musical Theatre (OBMT) has collaborated with the city of New Hope to present a major musical with full costumes, orchestras, sets and lighting every summer since 1978. OBMT will present Grease at the New Hope Outdoor Theatre in summer 2012. Family-friendly performances will be held on Thursdays, with shows beginning an hour earlier! New this year, a special matinee performance will be held at Note: Unoccupied chairs or blankets will be removed from the bleacher area.

Auditions

Open auditions for anyone ages 10 and older will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 29 at New Hope City Hall, 4401 Xylon Ave N.

Performance

• Dates: Thursdays through Saturdays, July 19-August 4
  
• Time: Thursdays at 8 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays at 9 p.m.
• Special Matinee: Sunday, July 29 at 2 p.m.
• American Sign Language date July 27 (rain make-up July 29)
