New Hope built an outdoor theatre in Civic Center Park, just west of New Hope City Hall, in 1986. The theatre, which is handicap accessible, has bleacher seating for about 450. Parking is available in the City Hall parking lot.

2010 Production - Music Man

The Off Broadway Musical Theatre (OBMT) has collaborated with the city of New Hope to present a major musical with full costumes, orchestras, sets and lighting every summer since 1978. OBMT will present Music Man at the New Hope Outdoor Theatre in summer 2010. Two family-friendly performances have been added this year, which will begin an hour earlier! Note: Unoccupied chairs or blankets will be removed from the bleacher area.

Auditions

Open auditions for anyone ages 8 and older will be held from 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 24 and 12-3 p.m. on Sunday, April 25 at West Metro Fire Rescue District station at 4259 Xylon Ave N in New Hope (parking at City Hall lot).
