Finance

The Finance Department is responsible for all financial accounting and reporting functions for the city. Staff manages accounting, budgeting, billing, and investments while providing financial support to the City Council and city departments.

The Finance Department also:

• Develops and prepares the annual budget
• Performs purchasing, risk management, and insurance administration functions
• Implements financial controls and reporting methods
• Processes accounts receivable and payable, such as employee payroll and utility billing
• Executes debt service analysis and bond payments
• Manage loan programs and special tax projects, such as tax increment financing
