The Comprehensive Plan update process is nearly complete!

Use the links below to view the draft 2030 New Hope Comprehensive Plan update. A printed copy of the draft plan is also available for review at the Community Development Department in New Hope City Hall from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

In October 2006, a committee consisting of representatives from New Hope advisory commissions, residents, and business people began an extensive review and update of the city’s comprehensive plan. (Click here for more information on the Comprehensive Plan Committee and its progress.)

New Hope’s 2008 Comprehensive Plan update will provide the city and its constituents with an opportunity to determine how best to accommodate projected growth and change. The Comprehensive Plan Committee will advise the City Council on planning for infill and redevelopment, preserving and maintaining existing infrastructure, setting transportation goals, planning for the preservation of natural resources, and setting policies and goals to guide the community into the future.

City staff and the city’s planning and engineering consultants will guide members of the Comprehensive Plan Committee and the City Council through the Comprehensive Plan update process, which is expected to continue through most of 2008. During the process, there will be opportunities for interested community members to attend open houses to learn more about the comprehensive plan update and share their thoughts. (Click here for more information about the open houses and opportunities to provide your input.) The city-wide survey, which was completed in 2005, will also serve as a good resource as the plan is updated.
