ePermits
The city of New Hope introduced ePermits in April 2003. Contractors and homeowners can obtain some residential building, plumbing, and mechanical permits electronically through the Internet. The process is very simple, and the website transaction is secured through VeriSign.
ePermits are available for:
- Re-roof
- Window replacement (if changing header)
- Door replacement (if changing header)
- Siding, soffit, fascia
- Fence
- Draintile
- Gas fireplace insert
- Air conditioning
- Furnace replacement
- Water heater replacement
- Point of sale inspection
Requirement to obtain an ePermit:
Building contractors
- Current state license
Plumbing contractors
- Current state license
- Current state bond
- Insurance certificate
Mechanical contractors
- Current state surety bond
- Insurance certificate
There is a $3.50 charge for processing an ePermit (in addition to the usual permit fee). Credit cards accepted include Visa and MasterCard.
